Manfred Lamprecht holds a Master degree in Sports Science, a PhD in Exercise Physiology and a ScD in Medical Science acquired at the Karl-Franzens-University of Graz, Austria, and the Medical University of Graz, Austria. He also holds a habilitation/venia docendi in Human Physiology (PD) earned at the Medical University of Graz, Austria. Manfred brings over 30 years’ experience as a (clinical) researcher, lecturer and consultant in the fields of redox biology, nutritional antioxidants, probiotic- and polyphenol research, and sports nutrition. His experience includes positions and functions in Austria at the Medical University of Graz, the Karl-Franzens-University of Graz, the Styrian Health Association and the Danube University Krems, as well as internationally at the European Nutraceutical Association and the Waikato Institute of Technology in New Zealand. From 2013 until 2020 he served as the president and chairman of the Austrian Society of Sports Nutrition. Manfred edited several books listed on PubMed including “Acute Topics in Sport Nutrition” (2012), “Antioxidants in Sport Nutrition” (2014) and the “Textbook of Sport Nutrition” (2017). Throughout his career he has published 50+ peer-reviewed scientific articles and served as a reviewer for more than 20 scientific journals. He also served as guest editor-in-chief for several special issues in scientific journals like “Effects of Plant-Based Nutrition on Ageing” in the peer-reviewed journal “Nutrients” (2023). In 2011 Manfred Lamprecht established the “Green Beat - Institute of Nutrient Research and Sport Nutrition” in Austria, collaborating with 30+ Universities on the globe. Since 2017 Manfred Lamprecht is nominated to serve as the host of “Nutraceuticals & Medicine”, a scientific event and Continued Medical Education (CME) for health experts in nutrition and health.
